Parkinson's disease, but not women. The difference is due to the
presence of estrogen, according to the researchers.
Heart Disease - Even in the past coffee is not linked to the
development of heart disease. According the Harvard scientists, coffee
is safe to even heart attack survivors. The antioxidants in coffee will
help to reduce the inflammation and protect the blood vessel walls.
Not only the Harvard study, but also some other researches have shown
the benefits of coffee. The notable among them is the study by Neal
Freedman of the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda. His study has
found out that people with chronic hepatitis C and advanced liver
disease who drank 3 to 4 cups of coffee a day can reduce the risk of the
disease progressing by fifty three per cent.

content. Although caffeine is the active ingredient in coffee, its
percentage is just 2% and 98% other stuff contains different compounds
like vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
Another important ingredient of coffee is fibre. Today's eating habit
necessitates more intake of fibre content foods. Each cup of coffee
contains 1.1 to 1.8 grams of soluble dietary fibre. The fibre content of
coffee dissolves in water and helps prevent cholesterol from being
absorbed by the intestines. This finding is given by the Spanish
National Research Council in Madrid.
There is also word of caution from the researches. According to them
regular coffee drinking is not harmful to most of the people, but it
should be avoided by the pregnant women. The research has shown that
caffeine consumption of two hundred milligrams or more per day may cause
miscarriage. The Harvard report says a cup of coffee contains 100 to 150
milligrams of caffeine.
More most of the people who drink coffee regularly, they can't move
about without it. Now they can justify their morning addiction to coffee
to a health cause. But caffeine can cause addiction. Consuming too much
of caffeine will make one to crave for it. Drinking too much coffee per
day is not advisable. Taking a few cups is good. The scientists say,
moderation counts. You have to decide your moderation level and limit
yourself to that level to enjoy the health benefits of coffee.
