come up in the mind of those who have started working out exercise and
those who want to start. Getting answers for these exercise FAQs will
help you to do exercises in the right way without over burdening
yourself or not to get physical injuries.
The important Exercise FAQs and the
answers.
1.I recently started exercising and I
induge in my favourite foods. Why have I gained weight?
It is a wrong
belief that if you exercise regularly, you can take and eat whatever
food pleases you. Always take a low fat diet and combine with regular
exercise. This will help you to shed the excess weight and keep it off.
Learn to re-educate your appetite so that you are in control of it. Give
some waiting time before you eat to know if you are really hungry.
Giving a minimum of twenty minutes time is the right way and if you are
still hungry, it means your body needs the |
food. If you feel not that hungry, it is a
craving and you can control the urge to eat.
2. Is it a fact that if you sweat more it
means you have worked out effectively?
No, it is not true. Due to genetically
influenced reasons some people sweat more and some people less. Some
exercise forms won't induce more sweating, like Yoga, weight training
and walking. Do not sweating more doesn't mean you have not worked out
well. Sweating is not the only indicator that shows you that you have
worked effectively. Sweating is a natural mechanism to cool the body and
control the temperature.
3. To get better results, is high impact
exercises are better than low impact exercises?
It is myth that higher
impact exercises burn more calories than low impact exercises. In high
impact exercises, throughout the workout session both the feet regularly
lose contact with the floor. The best examples are jumping, running,
cardio kick boxing and power step workouts. Low impact exercises involve
lower risk of injury as one foot always remains in contact with the
floor while exercising. Low impact exercises can be intense too and you
will be able to burn more calories. Low impact exercise is best suited
to those who are over weight or have other health problems. They can do
walking, swimming and cycling.
4. I find time only in the evening. I
usually go to gym after taking some snacks. While doing exercise I feel
sluggish. Why?
You should give a gap of minimum two hours
after taking a large snack or lunch. To digest a large meal the body
requires sufficient time. During exercise the digestion process is
slowed down due to the diversion of energy and blood supply to the
exercising muscles. This results in sluggishness, cramping or an upset
stomach as the digestion process is obstructed while exercising.
Give more waiting time if you take a
larger meal. If your intake in the evening isa light and nutritious
snack then a waiting time of thirty minutes is enough.
5. I find remarkable changes in my waist
and things. I have shed the excess fat around them, but my weighing
machines shows the same weight as it was before start doing exercise.
Why this is so?
Don't worry about the showing in your
weighing scale. Be happy that you are on the right path to have a
healthy body. It is the inches that matter more than the kilos. Regular
exercise makes you to lose fact around the waist and thighs and gain
muscle. Many don't know the fact that muscle is heavier than the fat.
This is because of this reason your weighing scale shows no change. It
shows that your muscles are strong and fit. You are on the right course
to have a trim and healthy body.
6. Is it possible to spot target problem
areas in my body to exercise and reduce?
Your body acts in a genetically
pre-determined manner to gain or lose weight. Generally you have no
control over the basic shape of your body. You can do target exercises
to making chosen muscles stronger and more tones. But to get rid of
excess flab you have to follow a two pronged strategy of cutting back on
calories and performing exercises that rejuvenate the whole body.
Aerobic exercise are the best choice to burn more calories and to have a
trim and strong body.
7.What will happen when I stop exercising?
Will the muscles turn into fat?
It won't happen as muscle and fat separate
properties. It is not possible for the fat to turn into muscle and the
muscle to turn into fact. If you stop doing exercise the toned muscles
will go back to the level as it was before you started doing exercise.
Practice doing regular exercise and plan
your food habits. Take balanced diet which low in fat and calories.
